The other day it was very cold outside with a windchill around -30 degrees fahrenheit. My mom asked if I want anything from the store. As she went out I asked for chocolate ice-cream. When she came back I began to eat righty away.
The ice cream looked smooth. As I raised the spoon to my mouth I smelled chocolate bars. As the spoon went into my mouth I tasted cold chocolate bars and feel the smoothness on the roof of my mouth. As I went back for more I heard the tapping noise from my spoon hitting the bowl. When I finished I was sad to see it go. I went back to get some more!

Valentines Day Special
For today’s blog I have to do a page on a personal experience I’ve had. This is not my usual but is necessary for school. I’m sure you all like gifts. Even more so love. When you put them together you get Valentine’s Day. One year, when I was in second grade, was the best Valentine’s Day ever. That is what I would like to tell you about because since we’re approaching that special day it brings back memories.
The year I was in second grade I couldn’t wait for Valentines Day to come. A few days before I Had put the finishing touches on my gifts. There was a gift for my mom, a gift for my dad, and a card for my little brother. The most important part of Valentines Day to me was the presents. I thought that was why everybody loved it. As far as I was concerned, everyone got a present for Valentines Day. This was what Valentines Day meant to me. Well that was all about to change in a few days.
The night before Valentines Day, I was getting ready for bed with a smile on my face. I couldn’t wait for the next day. It was going to be more presents. Who wouldn’t be happy! As my mom tucked me into bed, I smiled and looked up.”Mom, did you get me a present?” She replied,”You’ll have to wait and see.” Little did I know what awaited me the next morning.
The next morning I woke up to see a bag next to my bed. I was so happy. I looked in and found a card and some clothes from my mom. I was happy because a present is a present. I didn’t get anything from my brother or my dad. I was really sad because I was really expecting it. Then, my dad left and it was almost time to go to school. I was devastated and began to cry on the last step of the steps leading upstairs.
All of a sudden I was filled with joy.. I saw my dad walk back into the house. He gave me a hug and I felt better. Then he made things even better by pulling out a big bag of gummy bears. I got up and gave him a big hug. Of course I then ate some before I went to school.
Overall it was a great Valentines Day. I learned a very important lesson. Valentine’s Day isn’t about the presents, its about the love. Friday, January 17, 2014
Left at the Alter
He thought he found the love of his life
But the day before their special day they had a fight
They decided the wedding would go on
So the next day they were separated all day long
He was ready and waiting at the alter
The music started playing and out came the flower girl, the bridesmaid's daughter
She simply said the bride left and didn't care one ounce
He was so mad he looked at the bride's father and went to pounce
When the cops came they announced his bail
But sadly he still hurts as he sits in jail
